Punnet FAQs
What are your opening hours?
We’re open 7 days from 8am. Monday – Thursday we close at 2:30 and Friday – Sunday at 3pm. Public holidays we are open 8:30 – 2:30, we are closed Christmas Day.
The kitchen closes about 30 minutes prior to closing.
Do you have parking available?
Yes, we have ample parking available on-site for our customers.
Is the café wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely! Our café is wheelchair accessible, including restrooms and seating areas.
Do you offer free Wi-Fi?
Yes, we offer free Wi-Fi for our customers.
Are you kid / family friendly?
As parents ourselves, we pride ourselves on being a family friendly café. We have high chairs, a change table, kids menu and cabinet cakes, colouring and scavenger hunt and an epic kids playground!
Can I bring my dog to the café?
Yes, we kindly ask that dogs remain on a lead and are restricted to the Bikers' Patio and playground areas only. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in the courtyard. Service dogs are welcomed throughout.
Do you cater to dietary requirements (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free)?
Yes, we offer a range of options for different dietary needs. Please let our team know when you order, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Do you have cabinet food?
Yes we have a sweet cabinet and fresh sweet and savoury scones.
Do you have a kids' menu?
Yes, we have a dedicated kids' menu featuring smaller portions and child-friendly favourites.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends or for large groups, but we always welcome walk-ins when space is available, we do not take bookings in the playground.
Can I book a table online or over the phone?
Yes, you can book by calling us 07 838 1901or using our online booking system on our website.
Can I bring my own cake?
Yes, you can, however there is a cakeage fee of $25 per cake and we will provide you with a cake stand, knife, plates, fork etc.
Do you offer private function spaces?
Yes, we have a beautiful private space available for hire, perfect for celebrations, meetings, or group gatherings, contact us on letsparty@punnet.co.nz
Do you offer catering services?
Yes, we offer catering for all occasions, from morning teas to banquet-style meals. View our catering options on our website for more details.
Are there special menus for holidays or events like Christmas?
Yes, we create festive menus for special occasions like Christmas, featuring our signature dishes and seasonal favourites.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer café gift vouchers, take home meal vouchers and pottery workshop vouchers. You can purchase in the Eatery or online here.
Do you have frozen meals or desserts for pick-up?
Yes we offer a range of delicious chef prepared take home frozen meals. You can order through our website for pick up here, or buy instore.
Do you sell your house-made products (e.g., jams, spice blends)?
Yes, our house-made products are available for purchase in-store or online (to pick up only) and make great gifts or pantry staples.
Can I place an order for delivery?
Currently, we only offer local catering delivery. However, you can order our retail products online to be picked up from the Eatery.

**We do not reserve tables in our playground area**
Tables in the eatery are reserved in two hour slots.
Our kitchen closes at 2pm Mon - Thu, and 230pm Fri, Sat + Sun.
We are open every public holiday from 8:30am to 2.30pm *surcharge applies
