We have teamed up with Tia Haynes from The Milk Press to bring your little ones a creative morning, making and decorating Christmas Decorations.
In this 1.5 hour workshop, the children will create and decorate 5x Christmas decorations.
Tia will demonstrate to the children how to roll clay and cut out Christmas themed shapes. She will then show them different methods of decoration and embellishments, including stamps and cutters. The kids can stamp their own name into their creation should they wish. There will also be colours to add to their creations.
There will be helpers to assist the children, as little or as much as they need. We ask that the children are aged 5+ as we don't have a lot of room for parent helpers.
All tools and materials will be provided. An off white/cream colour clay will be used for this workshop.
Things to bring:
Kids apron if they have one (don’t worry if they don’t, everything washes out).
A small towel to dry their hands
This workshop is designed for beginners, while still being suitable for those with clay experience. We recommend a minimum age of 5 years, however younger kids can attend with parental help.
After the workshop, the creations will be taken to The Milk Press pottery studio where they will be slow-dried, bisque fired (900 degrees), clear glazed, and high fired (1200 degrees). Your items will then be packaged up and ready for collected from Punnet within 4-6 weeks of the workshop.
9.30 to 11.00am on the 2nd October - $60 including morning tea. Please write in the notes if your child is GF.
*Please note no tickets will be sent - simply arrive on the day with your child & give their name and our friendly team will take care of the rest! Parents & caregivers must remain on site - kids will be supervised in our function room*
