Come and join us for a very enjoyable evening making some beautiful and unique pieces for your kitchen.
We have teamed up with Tia Haynes from The Milk Press to bring you a creative evening hand building your own serving bowl and egg trays from a lovely “toast” brown rustic clay.
Thursday 26th September, 6.30pm-9pm at Punnet Eatery. Tickets $115.00. Drink and nibbles are provided on arrival.
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you will create 2 pieces (either a large and small serving bowl or a large serving bowl and an egg tray).
Tia will guide you through the slab building method to building your pieces. There will also be stamps and cutters available to decorate your pieces, as well as colourful underglaze and a choice of lovely glazes (clear, white and several colours).
Please refer to attached photos for examples of the type of pieces achievable in this workshop (please note these are unfinished, unglazed pieces).
After the workshop, your items will be taken to The Milk Press pottery studio where they will be slow-dried, bisque fired (900 degrees), waxed & glazed, and high fired (1200 degrees). Your items will then be packaged up and ready for collected from Punnet within 4-8 weeks of the workshop (you will receive an email advising).
All materials and tools needed to create your items is included in the workshop cost.
Although clay washes out of fabric and won’t stain clothes, we suggest bringing along an apron (if you have one) and a small towel.
This workshop is designed for beginners, while still being suitable for those with clay experience.
Please note- you do not need a physical ticket for this workshop, please turn up and use your booking receipt as your ticket. These tickets are non refundable, if you message us with 24h notice we can try to resell your ticket and only refund if your ticket sells.
